IDS Phoenix Beta Release Is Now Available

Design System | October 2025

We’re pleased to announce that the first group of IDS Phoenix Angular wrappers are now available in a beta release for Angular-based teams to begin exploring.

This library is based on the IDS Web Components set and, for a select subset of components, includes:

  • Full Angular forms & reactive forms support
  • Signal binding with writable signals
  • Content projection & tree-shaking
  • HTML IntelliSense & type checking
  • Access methods & properties via exportAs
  • Possible Angular CDK integration
  • Built-in Angular services for dialogs

A limited number of components are available as part of this beta release, with more planned for release in 2026. More details about what’s currently available can be found in the project documentation at Oxford. If your team currently uses Angular for the frontend, or if you’re thinking of moving in that direction, please take some time to test out this initial release for future adoption feasibility reviews.

Any questions? Please don’t hesitate to reach out in the IDS Microsoft Team. For more information, check out the IDS Phoenix repo.

Please note: A SAAM request is required for Oxford access.
